Final Thoughts from Krakow

Well, we are in Zakopane now, but we wanted to share a few more photos and thoughts about Krakow. First, we did a double-take yesterday when walking by a clothing store in Krakow. It had a shirt in the window that said "Iowa State Supply Teacher." We don't know what to say about that.

Interestingly, in Krakow they seem to put heads on everything, like these two doors to St. Mary's Church. In Wawel Castle, there is a room with 30 wooden heads on the ceiling that were made to look like a taxidermist's work.

While in Krakow, we visited a lot of churches.

We ate a lot of good food.

And at the end of the day, we were worn out.

Jake...your mom gave me your blog address and I am glad she did! I will probably never get to that part of Europe and your messages and pictures have been awesome. Whoever is taking the pictures needs to think about being a photographer...they are great!

I really enjoyed your comments and pictures about the concentration camps...and Josh's comments. He was right. We all need to remember and know that it DID happen.

Enjoy your trip and the time you can spend together.

Saturday night--We too have eaten good food here. Craig, Millie and Judy (from Dad's work) came for supper. Craig and Millie brought 2 pies and wonderful bread with peppers in it. Judy brought a pineapple/coconut cake. We would share pictures but.....we ate them instead.

All is well here. Missouri is HOT---94 degrees tomorrow.Dad and I are swimming in the lake.

We really have enjoyed your pictures and updates.

Love Mom and Dad
